Our History

After a 30-year residency at St. James Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Anchorage Breakfast (formerly known as the “Breakfast Club”) moved to First United Methodist Church on August 1, 2016. Now in operation for over a year, Anchorage Breakfast serves an average of 120 meals each day. Our mission is to become a ministry of our entire community, connecting with other churches, synagogues, religious organizations, social service agencies, and the business community alike.

Each day breakfast is served from 8:30-9:45am with a regular menu of hot beverages, juice, milk, cereal, and toast. Often times community members offer special recipes and meals for our guests who are more than grateful for the variety they receive here at Anchorage. Our trained volunteers serve to Lancaster’s low-income, unsheltered, and socially excluded populations.
